KORONI
Koroni is a seaside settlement with an exceptional architecture that unfolds amphitheatrically on Cape of Akritas, while the famous Venetian castle dominates at the top of the area.
The castle of Koroni, which is a fortress, was built during Byzantium and is the only castle in Greece that continues to be inhabited to this day.
Its main features have been preserved and testify to its imposing volume and its excellent architecture. Inside the castle are saved, carved tombs, Venetian cisterns, Turkish baths and the famous "vaults".
The gate of the castle is shaped into a large square structure that stands out from afar. When you enter the castle, the signs of life are visible in it, as you will come across fully cultivated lands and houses.
